Functional and Systems Safety Engineers
CDS Defence Support is seeking to recruit Functional and Systems Safety Engineers to join its successful Safety Team.
Successful candidates will have a proven track record in the Defence arena, ideally with previous experience of working in a consultancy environment. You will provide project management and technical contribution to safety case development of major projects undertaken by the company’s Engineering Support Team.
To succeed as a CDS Safety Engineer you should have knowledge of the following:
- Defence Standard 00-56
- MoD POSMS
- JSP 430,454,520
You should also be conversant in the conduct of most of the following disciplines; Safety Management System Development and Safety Management planning; Safety Case Development; Independent Safety Audit; HAZOP/SWIFT; Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)/Event Tree Analysis (ETA); Failure Modes and Effects (Criticality) Analysis (FMECA); and/ or Goal Structuring Notation (GSN).
Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a consultancy environment (within the defence, nuclear, rail or energy sectors).
This role requires SC Clearance so you must be either a British Citizen who has been living in the UK for the last 5 years minimum or of another nationality who has been living in the UK continuously for the last 5 years minimum.
