MOD Safety Case
CDS was tasked to produce a Safety Case and Environmental Impact Scoping Study report for the MOD’s Support Vehicles.
The MOD required functional and systems safety advice. Ongoing operations in Afghanistan demand a major logistics effort to keep UK troops supplied with food, fuel and ammunition. The last link in the supply chain is provided by Combat Logistic Patrols which consist of large convoys of vehicles operating around the clock in a tough and hostile environment.
CDS was tasked to produce a Safety Case and Environmental Impact Scoping Study report for the MOD’s Support Vehicles under an Urgent Operational Requirement (UOR), in accordance with the relevant JSP & DEF STAN (compliant with POSMS & POEMS).
How the objective was achieved
CDS worked closely with the MOD and equipment manufacturers to ensure a comprehensive and accurate solution was delivered on time and within budget. CDS provided a suite of documents in both hard and soft (PDF) copy format.
