CDS Website Accessibility Statement

At CDS we continually strive to build our websites to meet a high level of accessibility and usability. This website has been built with accessibility in mind and there are a range of features that we have employed in order to make this site useable to as many people as possible. If you have any comments or suggestions about this site then we welcome your feedback.

Standards and Validation

This website has been developed to conform to the World Wide Web (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 1.0) Level 2 (AA). All pages in this site have been developed to validate to xhtml 1.0 transitional.

Navigation

Consistency

This website’s consistent navigation structure lets you access the main sections of our business at the top of each page and then access the child pages from a left-hand navigation. You can also navigate the CDS website using a keyboard.

Skip links

There are links at the top of each page to let you jump to the main sections of the page. These links are given focus when you use the tab key to access them.

Search

If you have problems finding any information you can use the keyword search facility located at the top right on every page.

Sitemap

You can also use the sitemap to locate any pages contained in our website.

Screen readers

The pages in our website have been tested using JAWS 10 and should be accessible with other popular screen reading software.

Browser settings

Text resize

By adjusting your browser settings you can increase or decrease the size of the text to make the text size easier for you to read.

Disabling images and css

We use CSS to present our website. If you find it easier to use this site without CSS enabled then you can adjust your browser settings and still use this website without CSS.

You can also use this site with images disabled. Alternative text has been supplied for all images.
